One month run-down
So it's been one month since Alex and I purchased this house. I thought I'd do a run-down of everything we've accomplished this month. Here goes:
-finish drywalling unfinished basement
-carpet basement
-sand and paint front porch
-repair loose boards on deck
-patch holes in driveway
-tear out carpeting in 3 rooms
-remove staples and tack strips from 3 rooms
-repair leaks in roof
-patch, sand and paint all but 2 rooms
-get lawn under control (mow, weed whack, pull weeds, remove wisteria, trim bushes)
-extend downspouts
-install porch swing
-rip down wood paneling in dining room
-take all wood paneling to the dump
-fix ice maker in the fridge
-remove falling-apart vanity in half bath
-reinstall toilet in guest bath
-remove wallpaper (3 layers in some spots) from all rooms
-flip around door in half bath
-recaulk bath tub in upstairs bath
-CLEAN entire house
-steam clean remaining carpets
-power wash exterior of house
-fix squeaks in sub floor
I think that's about it! For now. Here are a few pictures:

Alex's parents van after we loaded it up with all the wood paneling

Garage finally FREE of the clutter! We can almost get a car in there, woohoo!

Our hardwood floors we picked up today, sitting in our living room. Here's a quick picture of the color. It's not the best but you get the idea. These boxes were HEAVY!
